Sharks Make A Major Trade
In the early hours of this morning the San Jose Sharks GM was hard at work to make sure his trade with the Ottawa Senators wouldn't be vetoed by the league administrators. Not much talking was needed as the Sharks added 2012 first rounder Tomas Hertl to the already agreed upon deal. The final deal ends up being, the Sharks 2013 1st, the Sharks 2014 1st, the Sharks 2013 2nd and Czech prospect Tomas Hertl for the Senators best forward center Jason Spezza.
The Sharks were expected to move most of their future for players that can help them win that elusive Stanley Cup. This move should make the San Jose Sharks fans excited for this season as they have added a superstar player to an already solid hockey team. But the fans in San Jose won't care about all these moves in a few years if they don't win the final game of the season.
Jason Spezza will bring dynamic offensive skills to the Sharks, he is pencilled in as the first line right winger playing alongside center Joe Thornton and left winger Patrick Marleau. Spezza also brings experience, something the Sharks have alot of but you can never have enough experience on your roster. Adding Spezza would push Joe Pavelski down to the 2nd line Pavelski had this to say "Obviously I'm disappointed I won't be playing with Jumbo and Patty but it will help the team win so I'm not mad at all"

The Goalie of The Future Early last week the Sharks agreed to a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning that netted them many key pieces including Captain Vincent Lecavalier, Sami Salo, Benoit Pouliot and most importantly their goalie of the future Andrei Vasilevski. Andrei Vasilevski was born on July 25th 1994 in Tyumen, Russia. He has been playing goalie since his early childhood. He had stellar numbers in his midget age hockey seasons, including a great performance at the U18 Tournament and he ended up going 7th overall in the 2011 KHL Junior Draft to the Salavat Yulaev Ufa. He had a great season in 2011 he had 3 shutouts and had a 2.23 GAA in 27 games. He played in the U18 Ivan Hlinka tournament for Russia but was shaky posting a 3.14 GAA and a .906 save percentage. At the 2012 U20 World Junior Championships he was great putting up a 4-1 record with 2 shutouts a 2.01 goals against average and a .953 save percentage but his good numbers weren't good enough for him to mind the net in the Gold Medal game as Andrey Makarov was in net and they lost 1-0 in overtime to Sweden. Andrei Vasilevski continued to shine in 2012 and kept on shining right to the 2012 NHL entry draft where he impressed the scouts and ended being taken 19th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was supposed to be the goalie of the future until the Lightning acquired goalie Anders Lindback from the Nashville Predators. The Lightning had to make a choice and they went with Lindback and traded away Vasilevski to your San Jose Sharks. The Sharks hope to see Vasilevski in between the posts for many years following this trade. [Agent:2]
